Whole Wheat Banana Pecan Pancakes / Hotcakes Integrales con Platano y Nuez

IHOP has nothing on these pancakes!  They are not only full of incredibly healthy ingredients, like flax seed and wheat germ, they are easy, and taste great!  If you have leftovers, they freeze well and can be reheated in the microwave in just a few minutes.



Whole Wheat Banana Pecan Pancakes
1.  In a small bowl, mash the following:        
·         1 ripe banana
·         1 ½ cup soymilk
·         1 tablespoon maple syrup

2.  In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients:
·         1 cup whole wheat flour
·         2 tablespoons ground flax seed
·         2 tablespoons wheat germ
·         2 teaspoons baking powder
·         ¼ teaspoon salt

3.  Mix the dry ingredients and wet ingredients and stir until smooth.  Pour a small amount of batter (I use the ¼ measuring cup) into a non-stick pan or slightly oiled and heated frying pan or griddle.   Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of each pancake.

4.  When the top bubbles, turn with a spatula and cook another 30-45 seconds

Hotcakes Integrales con Platano y Nuez


Estos hotcakes llevan linaza y germen de trigo, dos ingredientes increiblemene saludable y estan deliciosos.  Si te sobran, se pueden congelar y calentarse en el micro por 1 minuto o menos. 

1.  En un bol chico, se machuca lo siguiente:
·         1 platano maduro
·         1 ½ taza de leche de soya
·         1 cucharada de miel de maple

2.  En un bol separado, combinar lo siguiente:
·         1 taza de harina integral
·         2 cucharadas de linaza molida
·         2 cucharadas de germen de trigo
·         2 cucharaditas de espauda
·         ¼ cucharadita de sal

3.  Se junta lo mojado con lo seco y se mezcla bien.  Se Pour a small amount of batter (I use the ¼ measuring cup) into a non-stick pan or slightly oiled and heated frying pan or griddle.   Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of each pancake.
