Breaded Tofu / Tofu Empanizado

This is the easiest tofu dish I can think of, but it’s also one my 
sons’ favorite way to eat tofu.  There is no actual recipe.    

“Breaded” Tofu

                      
1.  Drain one 14 oz package extra firm tofu.  
Cut into ¼ inch thick slices 1 ½” x 1 ½”.

2.  Lay the slices flat in a baking dish.  Pour enough 
soy sauce to cover the bottom of the pan.  Allow to sit 
for 10 minutes, then turn and allow to sit for another 10 minutes.

3.  Place nutritional yeast in a small bowl (about ½ cup) and 
coat slices with nutritional yeast.

4.  In a large frying pan, heat 3 tablespoons grape seed 
oil (or any other high heat oil) and fry tofu slices.
